Tyre Kicking (Again!)
First topic message reminder :
Found this ZX-12 at the following QLD dealer:
Top Gun Yamaha
Location
Bundamba, QLD
http://www.bikepoint.com.au/all-bikes/dealer/details.aspx?R=12039026&ref=Item&Nne=&N=&Ns=
Of course it looks ok in the photo - but the cheap price has me wondering. If it was ok, my daughter might be interested.
Anyone had anything to do with this dealership?
Late edit, thanks to 2WA:
I don't think this has been posted before but for those amongst us who are thinking (dreaming) about adding to the fleet this website might help you decide if the bike is rideable all day or just a lap to the café. Click >>> Cycle Ergo

The nick named "Fuel Storm" wasn't for it's efficiency Love the sound these things make though. I've only done 2 track/ride days and both times there was a Firestorm in the fast group, glorious sounds were heard by all.

170 Ks and the fuel light comes on. 190 Ks and it drops dead no warning, and not fun to push especially when you're 5 ks from the next fuel stop. It only had a 16 Litre Tank

Re: Tyre Kicking (Again!)
Whilst out trying the local shops for a decent tyre deal (unsuccessfully), I came across these at the dealers. Given you could expect to negotiate the price down by $1,000+ I thought they weren't bad buys.
Canberra Motorcycle Centre, 2004 Gixxer, 14,600 kms, $7,990.
Dahlitz, Yammy FZS1000 (FZ1 the same as 2WA has), 67,300 kms, $4,990. Despite the high kms, it did look tidy (unlike quite a few other old beasts in the yard).

Re: Tyre Kicking (Again!)
If I win lotto on Saturday night, this will be added to the stable:
MV Augusta Brutale 800, triple, nice height bars, 92 kW 125 hp @ 11600 rpm, 81 Nm 8.25 kg-m @ 9600 rpm, and (this is the best bit) 167 Kg dry weight - that's close to 70kg lighter than the Bandit. Not bad for $16,490 ride away. Might remind me of my old XS750 triple (but maybe not!).

Re: Tyre Kicking (Again!)
If I owned one of those, I would surely end up in jail or tasered to death on the roadside by the HWP.
Still, it would be the week of my life...

Fancy a 2008 Triumph Sprint with just 22,000kms on it for under $4,000? If it's not a scam it's pretty good value. Link to advert.

Thats all its worth ,piece of over hot crap .Now if we remove that stupid "lets put the mega hot exhaust under the seat " idea (must have been someones practicle joke ).
we would have a good bike .Still made me feel like an accountant though .

Re: Tyre Kicking (Again!)
Here's a good looking TL1000S for sale at a good price ($4,300). Check out how surgically clean the garage is - it must be brand new. Shame I just spent my cash on the TRX or I might have bought this. Definitely worth a look.
Gus - hope yours ends up looking this good.

These GB400 Honda's are starting to grow on me! Maybe I'll buy one for the missus. I don't believe they were ever sold through Honda in Australia but they would now qualify for club rego (I think).

I toyed with getting the GB500TT and fitting the GB400TT dual seat. I love singles.
