Tyre Kicking (Again!)
First topic message reminder :
Found this ZX-12 at the following QLD dealer:
Top Gun Yamaha
Location
Bundamba, QLD
http://www.bikepoint.com.au/all-bikes/dealer/details.aspx?R=12039026&ref=Item&Nne=&N=&Ns=
Of course it looks ok in the photo - but the cheap price has me wondering. If it was ok, my daughter might be interested.
Anyone had anything to do with this dealership?
Late edit, thanks to 2WA:
I don't think this has been posted before but for those amongst us who are thinking (dreaming) about adding to the fleet this website might help you decide if the bike is rideable all day or just a lap to the café. Click >>> Cycle Ergo

Hey Chris. Do you know who that Vic dealer is with the CB900? I see he also has a brand new, uncrated GPz900 on Bikesales for a mere $25k! Looks like an import too. At least the two ads read the same and I've seen the same wording on other ads. I'd love to see the dealership - might be better than a 1970/80's bike museum! (Except I might accidentally buy something ). It's not Look Motorcycles is it?

Thanks mate - just the pics on the website has me thinking I need to visit. Wonder if they'll throw me out at closing time!

Yep, looks like something else we should schedule in. Only an hour and a half from Traralgon.

This shop in Adelaide just sells old bikes as well, don't worry about the name, they started as Yamaha but now do anything

They have a good range of bikes too. No XS850 amongst them though I'm pleased to see!

Re: Tyre Kicking (Again!)
Lucky I've already spent all the spare cash ( ) on the Spyder. This RF900 looks pretty tidy and could be had for ~$3,800 with a bit of negotiation. Not low k's but not high either. Sigh!

It's nearly money jar change (if you've got a largish jar).

If I wasn't going to the US.
The only bike i would buy back!
Very underrated and ahead of their time with a hint of Bandit DNA.

Re: Tyre Kicking (Again!)
I am tempted to sell the TRX850 and give the old XS850 a stablemate from the same era. Southport, QLD. Other similarities include the engine capacity and the shaft drive.

Re: Tyre Kicking (Again!)
Up to you of course , but if you're doing it as an investment , I think a good TRX will go up in value by more ,but if you prefer to collect bikes because of their similarity , go for it ......My 2 cents worth

Here's a nice ex-AFP FJR1300 for those that wish to impersonate Mr Plod! It's a lot of tourer for $12,500 but no good if you need to pillion.

If I lived closer to Brisbane (Springwood) I'd be tempted to ride the Bandit in for a trade-in on this.
