Northern NSW Ride

First topic message reminder :

OK. Sorry about getting all excited and rushing in about a stage 2 event.  But I would like to try and organise a long weekend ride sometime in the new year while the weather gods are  still kind to us. My pick would be Drake as a 1-2 overnight base camp. Obviously if some of you guys/gals were coming up from a fare way down , then you will organise rest stops along the way.  There are so many fantastic ride roads all around that area that I'm sure that it would be a great location. John and I did Cowra to Drake comfortably in one day, and he was aboard his Triumph Tractor. I'm not suggesting that that is what everyone should do. Only pointing out that it is pretty easy.  I truly hope that we can get something going and look forward to any ones interest.

Does that mean you are definitely solo and meeting us at Muswellbrook on Thu night?  If so, Boatz will book a triple room at Muswellbrook.  Else, if it is just me and Boatz, we'll go for a twin room.

NEWS FLASH !!!!

                         Our great friend and seeker of stuff, Jimmy the Boy, has secured the purchase of comemerative caps for the Drake ride. Similar to the Cowra ones. Dark Blue with matching pipeing. Ooooooooh. Forum logo and ride details on the rear. Ooooooooh here we go again.  Cost still $20. Will have plenty for everyone.  Great as a momento in the bar. Or to wear for bragging rights.

Huge thanks to Jim for all his work.  He gets one for his efforts,  plus a cap.

I will be devoting my first song to 2W. "Love me Slender".   And then a raunchy rendition of  "You aint nothin but a Ground Hog" .  Accompanied by Mad Max and the Good ol' Givi Boyz.

If any Sydney siders or Novocastrians that are going to Drake want to join our gang/group give us a yell, Ewok, Madmax and myself will be leaving Muswellbrook sometime Friday morning. Not long to go now

Hey Guys n Gals.  Not many sleeps now.  Hope you are all getting ready and are excited.

New tyres going on next week - all else done.

Gave Jewel a good cleaning last weekend. Missus rides her and I get to clean her.
Gave chain a Kero treatment and tried chain wax instead of Tac2 rhat I have been using for a while. Very impressive. Zero fling off. Will keep using it, see how we go for chain wear.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
