First topic message reminder :

What does everone think about a TRIVIA thread

Stuff that maybe of no use to most people but really handy to the others. Maybe a good DVD ,something they have made,seen ,heard of ,
cooked ,been too .Minor things that do not really warrant a post of there own.(like most of my stuff ,there beat you to it )
Like taking a tractor tyre up north to float your Bandit across a river to a football selection ,the taste of beer ,who's state is
better at Rugby League. (may be not that) .Something that may make someone else say ,"why didnt i think of that".

Good idea or just post it on "off topic discussions " or not post it at all? (feeling vulnerable now )

WE had 2 but they joined a cult over the hill . So it was goodbye Steamboat and Willy.
We now have 3 girls , eenie ,meanie ,minie and are getting a boy ,yes, Mow .

We had 2 geese on the Gold Coast

They were named G1 and G2.

I reckon they will be very comfortable nesting in the Saab although you may have to remove a door so they have the flexibility to come and go as they please.

The bad news with G1 and G2 was that after about half a year we discovered that G2 was a gander. The racket they made forced a relocation to an acreage property.

The great thing about G1 is she would lay an egg every second day. The eggs average weight was 160g and made great omelettes

Geese in the SAAB, reminds me I've got to grab a picture of it next time I go that way, on the road between Latrobe and Exeter there is a goat tied up to a I think a VW coupe.  It has the rear hatch pulled off so the goat can jump inside at night or wet weather.

How many bikes does that leave you with Gus ? Must have almost left you with an empty shed .

Yep, sure is, if  only I had an understanding partner and room in my shed for another bike

I know the bike and the owner . Buy it ,fly over ,ride home . (when you can fly ) I could probably get it less $500

If NSW had the 25 year rule for historic reg (vs Vic's 25 year rule), I'd buy it tomorrow. But I can't change the law!

We had a 30 year limit, then in 2013 they changed to nothing newer that 1983, now they've relaxed it again back to a rolling 30 years

I'm busy reviving my 91 GSXG for 30 yo historic rego as of Jan next year. Whippee .
That will give me 1 year to get the 2 x 92 GSXG's ( the twins ) ready for historic. One is already on full rego, so will be easy.

How many number plates do you need? Quick release 1/4 turn fasteners are heaps cheaper

Yep, 30 years.  The full requirements are:

"A classic vehicle is:

• 30 years of age or older
  
  
• up to 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Mass
  
  
• not being a plant vehicle or trailer, and
  
  
• complying with the relevant NSW vehicle standards."
  
  

Pretty similar to us

I only reason I ever sold my VX800 because it could "never" go on historic because of the 1983 cut off, it was a 1990 model, after the rule change a few years ago I could have had a years Rego and 3rd party for $82, 2 years for $154 or 3 years  for $226 from September this year

for your VX.

Add the xj750r ,I new I was going to miss it ,so being on SI ,decided to keep it .

I assume that's either 102,000km or 202,000 km, mine had just over 100,000 when I sold it.

I'm not a bobber or rat rod fan, IMHO $750 is about all it's worth in that condition. In Jan 2012 when I bought my Bandit I got $2500 for mine the day after I advertised it and from the 1st person that aw it, there were 4 more waiting to have a look the same afternoon

Mine at 12 months old in 1991 in the Grampians on the way to Melbourne, it was after that trip I bought the OEM optional bikini fairing (see pic' below)


About a month before I sold it in 2012 @ 22 1/2 years old
