That's a very industrial lens if its the same one I saw a few yrs ago. Its great by all reports though. I'll get a 400 prime one day.
Its a BIF but not a great one. I'm my own critic

Yes they are " Heavy Duty ". took a few test shots in the backyard and am very impressed with the quality. A 1.4 TC will give me  the equiv' of 420mm and only loss 1 ftop.

Black Shouldered Kites are bloody show offs and you can get quite close to them compared to other BoP
