Since yesterdays off topic hijacking of re-cycled's ride thread, Gus and I have been challenging each other via PM to post our best nature photo.

I'm sure he wont mind if anyone else joins in. There's some good snappers amongst us.
No prizes. Just share your best work.

Rules;
I think we'll limit it to one pic each per day
Anything to do with nature.
No photoshopping except for basic adjustments.
If you're a professional you should declare it in the post.
Max 1000 pixels wide.
Description optional.

I wasn't really worried and it was in the "Photos and Videos" section. Very Happy

Hopefully you guys have worked out that I don't take things/myself too seriously. Smile

Approx 2 metres long and easily 30kg
This monster lived under our house for a month or 2.
He wasnt worried about the dog and the dog kept his distance.

A bit, but not like Qld. its Pamamaroo Lake, one of a group of lakes near Menindee, 110k's from Broken Hill.

Looking at the weather and looks like 2wheels is getting wet too Question

More tomorrow but no flooding expected here.

It's obviously Mt Mitre.

Close but no cigar - it's Mitre Peak in Milford Sound. One of the rare occasions it was not raining. Very Happy

Not my fault, I noticed the file name of the image, googled Mt Mitre and someone had erroneously posted a photo on a travel blog labeled Mt Mitre, just can't trust some people. Very Happy

Last Feb while searching for a "cash crop" in one of our parks I walked into a spider web that almost stopped me as if I had walked into a cyclone fence.
These things build tough webs!
We didnt find the "crop" but found where it had been about a week earlier.
