It’s almost time to get the macro gear out (or trawl eBay for new stuff!)
I found this specimen yesterday in the back yard. It wouldn’t pose for me.


Google tells me this is a Large Black Ground Beetle

Its hardly David Attenborogh stuff but this is what happens when a senile old boxer comes face to face with a wild goose ( down pillow ). I must admit it does look comfy. I've titled this photo " Guilty Your Honour ".
