Black Shouldered Kites are bloody show offs and you can get quite close to them compared to other BoP

There is a sequence of images here on Photobucket and I'll put more up when I get the chance. 
I spent a good 45 minutes with this fellow and he put on a good display for me.

correct - it was the Icelandic volcano on the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in 2010.  Pretty speccy looking plasma lines.
