Finally.....My Brake Lines
So they are all fitted up and test ridden.
Gave the bike a wash for a ride tomorrow and took some photos.
I also carbon wrapped my radiator end caps:

Re: Finally.....My Brake Lines
Hey Cam. Why so many brake lines? Looks like you got 4 banjos at the front. Have you connected the rear brake as well?

Re: Finally.....My Brake Lines
I think Cam said the lines go to the ABS module at the back then return to the front calipers.
Re: Finally.....My Brake Lines
^^
Thats exactly what happens with the ABS model as the unit sits under the battery box. It's apparently a bitch to connect up the lines (all 7 of them from memory)
Cam, didn't they have pink to match the bike??

Re: Finally.....My Brake Lines
Yeah rear lines are done. Two of them.
Yeah 5 lines for the front:
1 from master cylinder to the joining thing.
2 from joining thing to ABS module.
3 From ABS module to joining thing.
4 Joining think to left brake caliper.
5 left brake caliper to right caliper.
Took a while to fit. Took a while to bleed as well. After a run today, i need to bleed them again. Lever is a little spongy.
Ill ignore the other comment.

Hahaha.
I have a Mityvac vaccuum pump for servicing the brakes and clutch. It works very well and looks like this
You can also try cable tying the front brake lever to the grip overnight. cut it off in the morning and it seems to make the lever a little stiffer

I have an air bleeder kit to. But coz the lines are empty, not just sucking fluid through, takes a while. I also did cable tie to levers. Worked quite well.

For those that are interested. I am getting HEL front ( race type ) and rear braided lines with SS bangos made up on friday. Will be riding over to Brighton to pick them up. $170, all up.

Re: Finally.....My Brake Lines
Just got a quote for Hel lines for my 2010 GSX 1250 ABS. $430 delivered. 7 lines in total. Might have to reconsider wanting them.
