Re: Carbon bits by Gus .
I made a circle in carbon , surprisingly easy .Unfortunately the "look" didn't work and from distance looks like a hole .
Which left me playing with a nice circle.
Track day speedo cover maybe (will need holes for warning lights ) . Maybe not .
This one had me looking twice though .
Normal
Impractical i know , but a bit of stick on velcro ??

Re: Carbon bits by Gus .
You could probably sell your speedo cover as a "bike cam license retainer"
Engine cover hole and tank opening is probably a no from me. Nice try though

Pull the speedo apart and put that carbon fibre behind the dials
When I spoke about an S on the side cover you could also look at doing the inverse of this

Re: Carbon bits by Gus .
So little added weight i carnt tell the differance "in the hand "Only 1 layer of carbon , thats the hard bit ,not to sand through it as its so thin .
Simply bolts to the swingarm .Very close fit for the bandit but i lost interest .

Gus, that is some pretty darn classy stuff. Seriously think about broadening your market. I think you are on to a real winner as I have not seen anyone else doing this. Well done.

Hi Gus - your work looks pretty good so far:
I am wondering with these boot protectors, will there be wear through the carbon with time, my current ones have a fairly polished scuff mark from years of wear:

Re: Carbon bits by Gus .
Excuse me if this carbon thing is getting stale but today i decided to do my exhaust . This can was (is) polished stainless painted black .
It had a fair dent in it also . I covered it today in carbon and LAM resin (stays sticky ) then i realized i was out of resin to finish it off .
I have high hopes on this one .Simple shape no lumps and bumps .(and not a cone shape ) I'll take it to work with me tomorrow and
"do a foreigner ". Have no idea how it will handle the heat .
