Re: Carbon bits by Gus .
Talking about APITA i spent all day (raining ) working on the air box end moulds .No problem with the moulds but 2 layers of carbon is as thick
as 2 pieces of paper .When you try and take them off the mould any resistance deforms them .Threw away 5 pieces today ,thats 10 pieces of
carbon . No good making them thicker (stronger) as they will stand to tall .
In the end never got it right and ran out of carbon .Time for a re-think or a better mould release .

Why does the carbon not stick to the air box when it sticks to other plastic?
Maybe I miss understood but if someone sends you an air box can you carbon the ends?

Re: Carbon bits by Gus .
I dont really know and i'm sworn to secrecy .I'm working on a few parts for someone making something special .Hopefully when its finished he will
post a few pics up .Or better still before its finished .
I commented to Carol today that i had run out of parts to "carbonize ". She said next i'll be doing the toilet seat .I kept thinking about what she had said .
For decades women have complained that we leave the toilet seat up, right . .Most guys like carbon fiber ,right .
How about a carbon toilet lid , just the top in carbon .Men would close the lid and complain if it wasnt ,win, win . Any Good.
Now i can make them ,anyone any good at marketing ?
