Since yesterdays off topic hijacking of re-cycled's ride thread, Gus and I have been challenging each other via PM to post our best nature photo.

I'm sure he wont mind if anyone else joins in. There's some good snappers amongst us.
No prizes. Just share your best work.

Rules;
I think we'll limit it to one pic each per day
Anything to do with nature.
No photoshopping except for basic adjustments.
If you're a professional you should declare it in the post.
Max 1000 pixels wide.
Description optional.

well its a crab ain't it?
a mangrove crab .. and not related to a mud crab because they don't grow much larger than than this one, it wouldn't make much of a meal. If I were allowed to edit the photo I could show it sized actual size which would show more crab and less mud.
damn now I have a craving for chili mud crab

Hand held shot, two weeks after giving up (cold turkey) chain smoking rollies (well the only time I wasn't smoking was while on the bike), now more than 7 weeks later still not smoking.
I will admit I use a image stabiliser lens

They're doing well Gus.
However you should be warned I ordered a Nikon D90 today with a couple of lenses.
I'm getting left behind in this thread so it was time to spend some money

That shots crap compared to how those Mts really look.I always say its a world class view tha nobody goes to. I'll try and get it on a clear day.

That was my girl friend Actually she is quite impressed that we have a sensitive side.

She was taking a photo's of a praying-mantis yesterday and a bird flew in and eat it .
