Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
First topic message reminder :
Who's planning on doing the WSBK's in February, and who is interested in getting a house on the island?
There are plenty of options but we'd need to know who wants to join in to get a idea of what size place we'd need?
Going
Hammy + Mate
Ewok & Bev
madmax
Chook
reddog and Mrs reddog
Barry & Axle

I just did the 78,000km oil and filter change and put the near-new PR4s back on. Only got 12,300km out of the rear PR3 (but the front PR3 had a few thousand more k's in it, but it also got replaced). Roll on WSBK trip.

Yep - doing the oil change and filter myself in a couple of days, along with a rebuild of the sidecar shock (its an IKON unit - they charged a fortune for a couple of O-rings) and I'll also change to the Busa shock on the bike as well. Was going to leave the Busa until I had a bigger spring but as I don't have a pillion for this trip it can wait a bit longer.
Ordered the tickets for PI as well this morning, how does Ticketek get away with charging the same price for "print-your-own" as a registered letter delivery ? Then hit you up for an admin fee as well
Spirit of Tassie ferry also booked, that went pretty smoothly until I got to the insurance part, said my birth date was "out of range" and this is a field that is dumped from SoT's own database and can't be amend on the insurance page. So according to Alliance Insurance I'm officially an old fart
An expensive morning on the computer, might be sleeping in my tent a bit more than planned this trip , already in the dog house with Mrs B on how much I've spent (lucky our dogs have two-story apartments )

Well I booked my Bike ( of a breed which I cannot mention ) in for a Dyno Tune for the big ride. I do have a PC3 on her and have never had it properly dynod in. So it will be interesting to see , and feel, the results. The shop has quoted me $600 so we will see how close they are to their word. I may need to replace the rear tyre at some stage on the ride. I'm sure I will be able to find a bike shop along the 2500 kilometres.
Just a little over 5 weeks to go. Are we all getting excited ?

I went back to work on Monday, 5 weeks today and I'll be on leave againHammy wrote:

Luckily when I went back to work after the Xmas/New Year break it was to a different position (temp for "up to" 12 months), at least that has helped keep me focused and stopped me thinking too much about the trip and keeping me from bouncing off the walls
5 weeks Monday I'll be on the bike to Warrnambool
The next day, the G.O. road, the Queenscliff-Sorrento ferry, then onto mm's for a couple of nights
Then it's off to PI for 4 nights
3 or 4 days riding through the Gippsland and Vic Alps
1 or 2 nights back in Melbourne
3 days 2 nights riding back to Adelaide via the Grampians
Am I getting excited ..........................................
.......Nah, not at all
Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
On holidays now until the 1st Feb, then 13 shifts of work and back on hols from the 22nd through to the 8th of March
I'm not getting excited either chook

Hi Guys,
My apologies for not being in touch - still keen on getting the t-shirts if I haven't missed the deadline. If not, the bank details please.
Cheers,
Chalkie

Hi Chook,
I'm not sure what's wrong (with me!) but I have never seen that header when I log in so have never seen the Personal Messages section. Is it an IPad thing, I've got no idea?

Try scrolling to the bottom of the page and see if there is something that says change or view in classic view or something similar , and click on that to change to the home page Chook is showing you ( it sounds like you are in mobile friendly view ).If the writing is a bit small , you can make it larger by spreading your fingers on the screen .Chalkie wrote:Hi Chook,

Can the forum not be set to show classic as the default? That other view is horrible to navigate.

Yeah i agree, mobile version is bloody horrible. However it does remember classic view after you select it

Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
I hadn't thought about that, I hardly ever access it on my phone so I only get to see "the Classic" version. I can't even find PMs on the phone versionreddog wrote:Can the forum not be set to show classic as the default? That other view is horrible to navigate.
Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
Exactly my point. New users probably get scared off trying to use the mobile version

Do you have a email address I can send the bank details too?, either that or you could do as paul suggested, change to "Classic" and you'll get everything that has been missing
Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
G'day Chook,
Just got in, hence the delay. Email is rodhodgson2@yahoo.com.au. Just as an aside, am off to the Island tomorrow to the Classic Bike races, if anyone else is going and wants to catch up.
Cheers,
Chalkie

Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
There doesn't appear to be an Admin switchable option to show one layout view over another.
Sorry guys

Never mind , thanks anyway . It's pretty simple for the user to change views if they want to anyway .2wheelsagain wrote:There doesn't appear to be an Admin switchable option to show one layout view over another.

Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
I'm starting to get a bit twitchy knowing in 4 weeks I'll be somewhere between Adelaide and Warrnambool on my 1st day away, hopefully the weather is like today, Max 29, 24 @ midday with nice clear skies ........................
