Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
First topic message reminder :
Who's planning on doing the WSBK's in February, and who is interested in getting a house on the island?
There are plenty of options but we'd need to know who wants to join in to get a idea of what size place we'd need?
Going
Hammy + Mate
Ewok & Bev
madmax
Chook
reddog and Mrs reddog
Barry & Axle

Other than being tired the 1st 300 km wasn't too bad, the last 20-30 was pretty shitty, reddog wrote:That Sounds like a shit ride mate. I just got back from a ride to quindanning for lunch. 210kms as I rolled in the door. First ride on the bandit for a whileChook wrote:I must admit today was a struggle, I had to work real hard not to nod off. I went to bed at 12:30, woke at 4:20am, tossed and turned but couldn't get back to sleep, left Frances just after 8:00, coffee stop 1/2 hr up the road at Bordertown, quick stretch at Tintinara (rode in the rain for about 15km before then but it was still well over 30deg), fuel & coffee at Tailem Bend, it was pretrty hot fot most of the trip but when I came through the Heysen tunnels just before Adelaide it was like riding into a blast furnace, by the time I negotiated city traffic and nearly every red light from the Old Toll Gate to home I was absolutely drainedHammy wrote:Glad to hear you made it home safe Chook. I think it was the best " gathering " yet.Chook wrote:Home after 3573 km, thank's everyone, it has been awesome!!
ps. We won't mention the pool at Omeo.
Almost forgot, the 1st 50 km was spent dodging roos and wallabies as well, did that bit pretty slow.

I couldn't make the last session - speedo said 150km.
So I still got lost a lot.
Get with the program!
PS: my odo readings are reduced by the speedo healer.

Hey, that means your maintenance intervals are longer than everyone elses reducing your maintenance costs by 8%
But on the downside then I only really did 138 kms at the track reducing the number of laps I got by 8%
But I think my tyres last 8% longer than they really do but they actually don't
But........I think I better stop now

Then I've answered the age old question. Silver ones are faster.
Mine was 8% so I fitted a speedohealer.
Which blew up.
I pulled it out and was going to throw it away. A friend said can I have it? He resoldered all connections on the pc board and it resumed normal operation so his bike is now slower.
Therefore silver ones are 3.5% faster than black ones.

Blue ones are more efficient. travel from one place to another and do it over a shorter distance
