Phillip Island GP
I would just like to comment on the fantastic 2011 P.I. GP. What wonderful racing and well done Casey. The Island is definately on my "to do " list. The GP2 race was fantastic. I truely think that it would be better to move the GP into the new year ( which looks like it will happen ) so that conditions would be warmer. Better for all concerned. Keep the V8s off the track so that they cant put bloddy ridges in it again !. Bad luck Lorenzo. Hope they found his piece of pinky.

I think I read somewhere that it is already penciled in for a March change.

The calendar I saw recently still had Phillip Island MotoGp at the end of the season for 2012.

Yes thats right for 2012, but 2013 is still to be confirmed. I also read that the owner of the Moto GP ( Dorna ) will have no hesitation in taking the round elsewhere if Australia does not change. Melbourne is worried that March will clash with the Formula 1 GP.

Coming from Canberra a I sorta assume that anywhere else is warmer, not PI it was freakin' freezin'! I would definitely support a move to later or earlier in the season.

PI was cold enough in February for the Superbikes when I went, had my jacket on the whole time. I support a move to NSW.

They tried Eastern Creek for a few years in the 90's. I believe they'd need to spend some serious money to get the Creek back up to standard.
