Original Dunlop front tyre got 10.000km but was fully scalloped,my second Michelin radical has stared to scallop out tyre pressure I find can make a big difference.

G'day Robert.
Welcome to the forum.
Tell us all a little more about yourself and your bike.
Where you live, like to ride etc.
Plenty of good knowledge and people on this site.
Maybe even in your neck of the woods.

Welcome to the Forum Robert.
I agree with Bosco15....plenty of good knowledge and people on this site. I have only been here a while myself but there seems to be a healthy dose of good natured sparring that goes on. I notice that you and I have been on this earth for the same amount of time. I don't know if it is my imagination, but lately I am meeting and/or seeing many older riders who are returning to bikes after a break with great enthusiasm.
I hope your tyre situation is sorted quickly. I am sure many Forum members would be interested in the outcome.
Cheers, Graham

Re: front tyres 2011 bandit
Welcome to the forum Robert..............it's not unusual for the front tyre to scallop , but I think 10,000km from an OEM Dunlop more unusual , they seem to fit fairly soft ones from the factory ( much softer than the same replacement ones you buy to replace them with even if they do say they are the same LOL ) . You must ride very carefully or ran it past it's use-by . Pressures can definitely make a lot of difference to wear and handling

Yes, I'd agree with that Paul. I got a bit over 7,000kms from my original front Dunlop but it was definitely run past it's use by date.

Re: front tyres 2011 bandit
Welcome aboard mate.
I'm undecided if you posted a question or statement
I think I got 6000 out of the front OEM D208 and about 5000 from the rear. I actually liked them as far as a tyre goes.
I've used PR2/3 since on the Bandit and now run PR3 on the VTR as well.
Scalloping is normal but will increase with lower than ideal pressures. Most of us run about 36-38 f 40-42r but that should only be seen as a guide.
Tyre wear varies greatly with these big heavy torquey lumps.

Hello well I got 4000 klms out of the factory tires and now run Pilot 4 Michelin tires so far they are very good in all conditions you need to keep an eye on pressures it's important.

You must be power sliding everywhere you go, mate.
You may have got a pair of qualifiers, from factoty.
Hopefully you will get a lot more life out of your Pilot 4's. I agree about tyre pressure being very important.
