not sure of exact specs for 600 forks or if theya re cart or damper rod type forks either way it's a simple thing to do yourself at home.
Apart from the general tools you'll need to remove and reinstall the forks on the bike, you'll need
*a measuring cup of some sort to measure the new fork oil
*if they are damper rod forks then something to hold the damper rod as you undo it, I have used a broom handle in the past
*a tool to push the new fork seals into the outer tube, I made one out of some PVC pipe a suitable diameter for the seal
*some way to protect the seal from cuts as you put it down over the inner tube, a corner cut off a zip lock bag is good for this
A pretty easy job to do yourself at home at will take about 3-4 hours from start to finish. Study the service manual if you have one (if not get one, they are pretty cheap or even free to download on the interweb) and ahve it handy and you'll be fine

Not THAT hard . From memory you need a bolt head (size ? )welded to a T handle to stop the botton allen head from spinning .Or something
else to do the job . I think once i used a broom handle with the end shaped like a large allen key to hold it .Once you understand
what you are trying to do you will find a way .

Thats right.Keep bike on center stand. Put a small jack under the sump, in a good flat spot. Just jack it until the back tyre touches the ground. If in any doubt when dissassembling the forks, keep a digital camera handy and take pics at each stage. Take your time.

Yip. Plenty of room. Just dont have any little kids running around while it is in that position, as it will not be as steady as it is normally on the center stand.

This chick with the blue hair has good illustrations how to change fork seals

i don't have a vise so drilled some holes in my old bench and bolted brake hole in the forks to use impact wrench
