Bandit meet 6-8 March 2015 Parkes NSW
First topic message reminder :
Ok, here's my thoughts on a Bandit meet up for 2015.
As per the topic title, Parkes is the meeting place. The time is March 6-8 2015. The Coachman Hotel/Motel is where we have booked in to stay.
I'm thinking of a 180 odd km ride on the Saturday that encompasses Manildra, Cudal, Eugowra, Forbes & back to Parkes.
JTB has also suggested a ride out to Temora as there is a aviation show on at the Temora airfield. (I hope I got that right)
Anyone interested in this?
Cheers, Kiwisteve

I saw Baz a week or two ago and his arse has collapsed. He can't ride until a new one to turns up from Germany.

It probably would be diagnosed as a prolapse because his shock was hanging out from the bottom of his swingarm.

I know of a good Bandit for sale, that Baz might like.
Probably cheaper than putting a new shock in the BMW too.

I'm still shockless, I should be unshockless by mid FEB.
I haven't ridden for so long I'm getting cramps in my left hand from not using it so much.
All that rain we had made big gaping holes in the road and I had to hit one, just had to. I'm not so keen now to get on the bike the instant the rain stops, best to let the council get out there first and fill in the holes.

I'm tossing up about tyres, they aren't down to replacement yet, but will be by the time this trip is finished. I might get them done when I get back to Melbourne as I have a day spare before the ferry trip home. I won't hijack the tread completely and get into a discussion on what brands - got that sorted out.
Anyone recommend a good (i.e. honest) fitter in Melbourne town ?
Re: Bandit meet 6-8 March 2015 Parkes NSW
Mine should be ok. I got them replaced about 2000kms ago. She's been serviced, hubby says she'll be right.

I got a set fitted at Byrners Suzuki at a good price. But they are a fair way out of Melbourne City, around the Mornington Peninsula.

My rear is new, what mileage has everyone been getting out of their PR3 fronts? It looks like it should do the trip, it has a bit over 10,000km on it

To any of my Southern Colleges, here is the Route that John, Terry and myself are traveling to Parkes, and maybe meeting Ewok and Hammy at either Tarago or Goulburn along the way any one is most welcome
to join us.

I'll be coming in from 2WA's end of town so it is not too much of a detour.

What day do you expect to be back in Melbourne Barry? I might be able to help you out with Byrners

Plan to be departing Sale Friday morning (13th), ferry is booked for Saturday night.
But I have nothing actually booked after Tuesday when I leave my daughters place in Moruya. Just planned to rock on through the hills round Tallangretta and Harrietville so things are pretty flexible at this stage.

That looks like a nice ride, I've either ridden or driven a lot of that but it was a long time ago.Jimcoleman wrote:To any of my Southern Colleges, here is the Route that John, Terry and myself are traveling to Parkes, and maybe meeting Ewok and Hammy at either Tarago or Goulburn along the way any one is most welcome
