Bandit meet 6-8 March 2015 Parkes NSW
First topic message reminder :
Ok, here's my thoughts on a Bandit meet up for 2015.
As per the topic title, Parkes is the meeting place. The time is March 6-8 2015. The Coachman Hotel/Motel is where we have booked in to stay.
I'm thinking of a 180 odd km ride on the Saturday that encompasses Manildra, Cudal, Eugowra, Forbes & back to Parkes.
JTB has also suggested a ride out to Temora as there is a aviation show on at the Temora airfield. (I hope I got that right)
Anyone interested in this?
Cheers, Kiwisteve
For anyone that hasn't seen this post before, I've done a heap of editing to simplify things.

Probably end up needing a full sized coach, I don't know how many more are coming than I have listed in the original post!
I think it's going to be a very memorable Bandit in Parkes

I think Bosco's partner isn't coming now, but I'm going to keep him company on the ride.
I'll most likely be on the At-least-it's-still-a-Suzuki for that length of ride as it has all the extras on it.

Gold's ok flavour wise but it's still a mid, the rest
As for CUB, VB nah, the closest we had to that swill was the 70's version of Southwark and as for Carlton Draught (old man's beer) , I'll know when I'm old 'cause I'll be able to drink it

Re: Bandit meet 6-8 March 2015 Parkes NSW
I was a die hard West End drinker until I got told my sugar was way too high a few years back, it makes me laugh when the biggest baggers of West End seem to drink VB or XXXX.
3 years without WE now, I remember about a year ago I had one, the only thing I didn't like was it was a bit too sweet
I had to find a low carb beer I could tolerate, most are like lightly flavoured cordial or dishwater, Hahn Super Dry hit the spot, low carb, doesn't send my sugar crazy even after a binge session and enough flavour to taste like a real beer

Re: Bandit meet 6-8 March 2015 Parkes NSW
As suggested in the T Shirt thread I contacted the local Suzuki dealership to let them know we would be in town for the meet, here's my message and the reply
Hi
I sent a message on your Facebook page about a week ago but I don’t think it’s been checked.
I just wanted to let you know that the Suzuki Bandit/GSX1250 Australia Forum is holding its 2015 national meet in Parkes from Friday March 6th to Sunday March 8th.
Most of us are staying at the Coachman Hotel Motel which looks very close to you.
One forum member has suggested a group photo in front of your shop with our bikes might be a good idea. Some of us might pop in Friday Afternoon or Saturday morning, most of us are doing a group ride on the Saturday afternoon.
Here’s a link to the national meet topic on the forum

Hi Ian,
The Coachie is just up the street from us. Would be great to get a photo for the local paper and to send to Suzuki. Just so happens that I have a S/H Bandit that I've been riding, might be able to tag along on the ride (wife permitting). If any one needs help with anything only too happy to oblige, even out of hours. Can pass mobile number on if you want.
It has been very hot here last couple of weeks the Coachie has a pool and the town pool is only short walk . Keep in touch.

well I be an exception to your rule, I don't drink VB, XXXX, West End or Fosters, in fact does anyone in Australia still drink Fosters?

Yeh, I though that was a great gesture. We should really make the effort to get as many bikes as possible there for a photo shoot, maybe Sat PM after they are closed would be easiest

The only time I ever drank it was when Adelaide still had the F1 GP, it used to take about 10 cans to start to forget how bad it wasmadmax wrote:in fact does anyone in Australia still drink Fosters?

We'll be the responsible adults then, Suzy.
I'm not a drinker either. I get a hangover from smelling the cork.

This time next week I'll be having a beer or 3 at either Coolah or Dunedoo
I'm looking at taking the long way home. I'm heading home via Singleton, Glouster, Walcha, Wauchope then home to Coffs. That means I'll be taking in the Thunderbolts Way & the Oxley Hwy

That's it, you can't have people getting dehydrated. Make sure you lot post pics, I haven't ridden my beast for a couple of weeks. I'm even contemplating buying a kawasaki
