2004 1200S
First topic message reminder :
" />" />Well I haven't really thought about this but seeing as how Im buying the TL the Bandit may just have to go. Ill just put up a couple of pics and a brief description and if anyone on here would like to make an offer or knows someone worthy or just wants to tell me what they think I should be asking that would be great. Cheers Jimmy." />
Well its a 2004 Bandit 1200S Fastidiously looked after only 18600Kms, Delkevic headers with Yoshi Titanium can, LED taillights, Stage 1 jet kit, K&N filter all tuned up buy Brett at MOTOGARAGE Canberra on his Dyno 107bhp on the day but he said that was about 5hp under for some reason or another I can't quite remember. Good Conti Attack Tyres, oil and filter done every 2-3K because Im over the top, Ventura rack, Bagster tank cover, new chain, probably the best example of an '04 model around. Box of spares Ive collected along the way just in case something ever happened ( but it hasn't ) including spare windscreen, headlight and taillight assembly, crash knobs, indicators other bits and bobs. What do you reckon its worth? Im happy to keep it in mothballs if I can't get a reasonable price, its a bloody good bike and I do love it. Cheers Jimmy:)

Onya Jimmy. Now that your cashed up please do yourself a favour and buy another set of clip ons that are not as steep as the ones you have. Does not have to be a big difference to make a huge one in the feel. Have a look on flea bay, there are dozens. Well done. Make mine the cutlets.

Im happy enough to leave it original Hammy, I knew what I was getting into. Its usually only a matter of muscle memory and I don't find it uncomfortable. When you buy a mans bike you have to man up and tame the beast as is. That means, when you ride it to the pub for a mans dinner there will be no cous cous, no polenta and certainly no duck.

I resemble those remarks. And by the way. Who was it that went and stood in the "Naughty Corner " while everyone else ate dinner. Man up yourself or this is going to get UGLY !Jimmy the Boy wrote:Im happy enough to leave it original Hammy, I knew what I was getting into. On a serious note, Ive just read on" Steves TL site " that he drained the oil out of the steering damper and put a lighter weight fork oil in it and it made all the difference. Still does its job but steering is lighter at slower speeds. So that might be a quick and cheap fix. Ive also emailed the crew at Warpspeed and asked if they can make an oil filter guard to go with the radiator and oil cooler guards ( like we talked about ). I can't see it being too much trouble for them.

Good stuff Jim. That steering dampner fix sounds the way to go. Tell your " buyer " to get onto the forum and we can tell him the truth about the Bandit.Jimmy the Boy wrote:On a serious note, Ive just read on" Steves TL site " that he drained the oil out of the steering damper and put a lighter weight fork oil in it and it made all the difference. Ash is going to join when he gets a minute. We've been mates for a lot of years so unfortunately he already knows the truth about the ex-owner.
