GSF 1200S FOR SALE???
Can anyone help?
I'm looking around for a GSF 1200S from about 2003 to 2005 with less than 30,000 k's on it. Looking for something in very good to excellent condition with a service history. I'm in the Bathurst area but would consider looking at anything within a 3 hr radius if it's in good nic.
Cheers,
Tony

Re: GSF 1200S FOR SALE???
Just because they asking $5k doesn't i would pay it...
I bought my bike from teammoto, they were asking $6500
I paid $5100
If i was looking this bike then I would start with an offer round $3000. They would say no way and i would go home and leave it with them. Garranteed they would call back in a day or two and offer me $4000. I would say $3500, not a dollar more and either walk away without the bike and find another one for that money or ride away with the bike....
This bandit, assuming good condition, with 70,000km is a steal at $3500.... What 70,000km on a motor that can easily get to 150,000km......

In the current market the ball is in the buyers court....
The bike you buy is going to be worth very little (comparably-depreciation) when you sell it so might as well save some money when you buy it

Your right Chips, it's definitely a buyers market. I had seen that 05 B1200 at Teammoto.....it looks tidy enough in the photos but at $5990 its way too much. I don't mind paying for something that's in excellent condition with low k's but it's gotta have the service history to go with it.
Over the years I've always bought private, except for new bikes of course, and I've got some really good machines. With a private sale you can have a look at the house, how tidy the garage is, look at service books and receipts and check out the owner. Even though you get a warranty at a dealership I don't like buying a bike I know nothing about.

didn't get a warranty. I bought from the shop cause I couldn't find anything private that I was happy with....
