Headers ......
Most header to me look crap after time . Stains ,heat discoloration and rust take a nice chrome system to a ordinary look in no time .A new Arrow
system seems to last no longer (or less ) before it suffers the same fate .
A ceramic coating seems to fix it but I'm not spending hundred of dollars on a bandit which i will loose on sale . I've been using black heat paint
,$18 a can which Ive been happy with .
The ceramic coating Ive seen is more silver in color than chrome so i wondered if black heat paint works how would silver look .
It looks like this .Makes the front ends look lighter and the bike longer .

Re: Headers ......
looks good, I'm interested to see if it stays looking that colour. I did my GS500 headers in black but they haven't stayed that way with crap flicked up of the front wheel, look almost worse now than "natural".

Re: Headers ......
A few rags stuffed in the right places and a lick of paint is a 2 min job .Brings them back to new .
Unfortuneately still weigh the same , as in bloody heavy .

Gus... do yourself a favour and buy some Arrow's. I've seen them for around $400, they weigh bugger all.

Re: Headers ......
I have the full arrow headers on mine, race springs, (pic in the introduce yourself section), light weight, good performance, but I cant keep them clean either.
Tar spots seem to be the worst, tried all the old tricks, wd40, butter, etc but seems burnt on there, I've just kind of accepted its the one area I cannot keep clean.
Although open to ideas:)
400 bux sounds great, mine from memory was about 800 odd from red racing in Italy, at the time (about 4yrs ago) it was best deal I could secure and WAY cheaper than any Australian outlet. I'm all for buying Australian but not when the difference is hundreds.
