Hi again guys can anyone tell me where to get the best price on a set of headers, for GSF 1250 I have done a little research and boy do they vary, Arrow headers from Admant Industries Pty Ltd in Australia, quoted me $869 plus postage, why would you want to buy Australian ?? yet good old ebay they were $600 inc postage from Italy, half way around the world for $269 cheaper , found some another type in the UK for $420 but they were wanting $180 postage I queried that and they reduced it to $128 which is still dearer by almost a hundred bucks from spain, emailed good old Dale Walker he has dicked me around for three days emails going back and forth but still no postage charge its probably that high he is to scared to tell me, so if any of you know where and how much I would appreciate it.

I bought the Arrow's off the eBay guy and have no complaints. You can get them even cheaper (try googling the Arrow part number) as his price includes the 20% Italian GST.

Part of that is because the OEM headers are double walled

I bought a full system with other bits from Dale Walker. $160 postage, in Oz in a week.

It is quality gear from Holeshot, but you do get dicked around. A lot.

You wont like this answer, but it depends. If you are just putting on the headers, then don't expect much apart from the weight loss. Now, I'll go out on a limb here, but my best guess if after you have done; the airbox, added a fuel controller, removed the secondaries, put on a can, then add the headers and have a dynotune, you should see something like 130+ rear wheel. Well, that's what I am hoping for next month when I put her on.

Will be going the whole hog and probably doing a bit more than you have mentioned, hoping for mid 130s when finished, confusious say there is no substitute for horsepower, then raid the bikkie tin and get the suspension done.

If you reckon thats dicking around try Adamant. Arrow headers $826 to the door. Time from payment to arrival 6.5 weeks!

I reckon 130 will be close with the arrow headers and all the other mods Dekenai. Will be interesting to see what you get, mine hasn't been dyno'd since back in 2008. Last dyno run showed around 110HP on Witch cycles dyno. Bunbury Dyno read 127HP. So if you split the difference I'll be happy with 118HP

You pique my curiosity... are you talking cams, pistons or headwork? Any any event, down that road the right headers are a must, the thing we are yet to establish is if the Arrows are the right ones for which mod state? AFAIK the choice is Arrow, Akrapovic or Holeshot. About all I can say is the stock and Arrow join cylinders 1 & 4 then 2 & 3, while the Akrapovic and Holeshot do 1 & 3 then 2 & 4, but which is better? The dyno curves all look similar and none mention the addition of some fuel correction or any other mods. Personally, I doubt that the 10+ peak horspower gain claimed by Akrapovic and Arrow are achievable without a compensating fuel correction.

Not the whole hog as in ripping the motor to bits, but as in headers, pollution crap minimised , secondarys removed, power commander and a good man on the dyno should give me 130 plus with a bit of luck, anyway I will do all the things I can do without stripping the motor and post the dyno printout when its done.

Another Email Quote come in

Hi Ian,

Thank you for your enquiry. We have been made aware of this option but unfortunately we are unable to match it. Please find quote attached including FREE delivery. Please note that this is dealer price.

Keep in mind that any Arrow products brought into the country have been flagged for customs to charge import duty & GST which will add an extra 15.5%. Also, European & US models can vary slightly from the Australian ones and we cannot warrant any fitment/return issues if the item has not been purchased through us or one of our dealers.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

I would like to know what the sound difference is between My catless 4-1 and the 4-2-1 Arrow header's.
The 4-1 sounds good. Can any one with the 4-2-1 upload sound clip?
