My loves and some hates....
My 1st bike Honda Cr250 Elsinore. Fast little mother.
My 1st Roadbike Yamaha RD 350b early 6 speeder. What a heap of shit!!!!
2nd Road bike Ducati 450 Desmo. Tyres in those days just weren't good enough for her.
3rd bike. Yeh old faithful Honda CB750. I loved that bike. Did nothing great except keep going and looked good.
4th one. 1st leadwing. Did heaps of miles back then and it did the job. Before and after, and yes it hurt.
5th one and 2nd leadwing. These were the days before I learnt 'handling' was more important then a soft ride.
6th bike. Ducati Durma 900 SD. I loved that bike and tyres were just starting to catch up, Pirellis anyway, but....
Go too hard too often and those gremilins will get ya...that one really hurt, big time.
And my latest love affair...who's that fat old bastard on that nice bike???

Couple of close encounters with Mother Earth, good to see you were in good enough shape to get back in the saddle.

Thanks for that Barry. It only took 20years before I did get back in that saddle.
Bikes are addictive.

Re: Past and Present - Pride and Joy
Well I bought a GSX250s from another young lad posted off my ship to WA. and got hooked. Then I had a GSX400e (twin) for sydney commute then my only Yamaha a RZ500.
Then my only new machine ever purchased a GPz750A6
naked again had this CB750F for a couple of years
Then i punted around on a Suzy GS850 shafty that was always too fat for fotos.
next came a hot red GPz550 followed by a poor little belt drive GPz250.
A Moto Guzzi Lario 650 4 valver was the next beast and stayed around for
a good while. First with fairings then naked.
ZX6 Tracky
for the road and track ZX7R (the GOR)
[
another of my two wheelers
and my current steed.
never had a car and looking back mainly Suzuki and Kwakas in the shed.
