Best Birthday present ever.

Just over a week ago i turned 50. Jan and her two daughters Alana and Loz bought me a joy flight in a Tiger Moth as a present for me. BEST FUCKING PRESENT EVER.

The graceful old girl I went up in today.

They are beautiful to fly. I hope you did a loop or two as well.

No loops. Just a leisurely jaunt over Cessnock.

My old man is part of a "mens shed" thats rebuilding one.

Hey congrats on turning half a century!
My hubby turns 50 on 13th aug, so ive bought him : jetboat ride
: Harley ride for one hour (me too!)
: Bridge climb (me too, god help me)
: Beginners Shark dive at Oceanworld
and a dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour...
But damn, forgot the airplane ride!
We are in Sydney next Saturday for three nights, very excited. Hope to get some good photos too!

That is one beautiful little plane. They are so enjoyable to fly, and easy to land, they inspire confidence in a student. I yoused to fly ultralights from the oaks airstrip near camden (Thruster ultralight aircraft), and they were fun to fly, but the tiger was just bliss. Congrads on your birthday.

I know Camden and have been on joy flights there way back when i was a teenager.

A great birthday pressie.... Not too far from Cessnock - near Branxton (north side of the New England Hwy) at a place called Luskintyre there is a small airfield dedicated to restoring Tiger Moths.. I think I hears somewhere that they have more there than anywhere else in the southern hemisphere..

Thats where the company I flew with gets their Moth serviced.

We did not do aerobatics. If we had of then it you would just see the top of my head the whole flight.
