Good idea. I'll fill up in Bombala and head towards Cann River - there is a 7 km downhill bit that should help it.

Re: Fuel challenge ....
Ride until the first bar disappears?
17km, 1st gear, got up to 110km at one point.
the best I've seen was around 60km. That was after filling up at Glenrowen heading to Albury sitting on 120 (indicated)

Re: Fuel challenge ....
Well, thought I'd give this a go!
Filled up with 98 (as usual), bike on the side stand, and filled to just over the plate.
Bike was started a total of 3 times (including at the servo!), and most of the journey was at "fwy" speeds, some of it was in traffic.
The first bar disapeared at 88.3kms
I cant remember the wind direction and what time the sun rise was, but I was wearing my lucky underware .....if that helps!

Re: Fuel challenge ....
I'm sorry guys but I am really not that concerned about fuel economy. As long as the bike is running smooth and has plenty of ponies when called upon I could not care. Too many variables to take into account to get any clear results on MPG. As long as the price stays under $5 a litre then I will keep riding.

+1. As I posted in Gus' other thread. Only once have I ridden with economy on my mind, and that was only because if I hadn't it was going to be a long walk.

Damn - I was picking up second hand bricks last night the missus bought on eBay. And dropped right straight onto the big toe on my right foot. Horribly swollen and xrays show it is fractured as well (quite badly). Had the nail lanced today to relive some of the pressure (which helped a lot). But can't see me riding for a bit so can't give this fuel challenge a go. Bugger.
