Time to plan the next overnight ride - 29-30 Oct at Bathurst near Neville

Ok you guys, time to think about the next overnighter.

We've been South and North and since there is no snorkel mod for the Bandit, that leaves West. I'm thinking Neville Bathurst, where I know many of us have stayed before so we know it's a great spot.

IMO riding in a large group is over-rated but socialising in a large group deserves its reputation. So.. I'm thinking several groups from different directions converging on Neville Bathurst for a spot of beer judging.

It's early days so please feel free to put in a suggestion.

YAY!!! another overnighter...im in.
Neville is good. im going for a weekender there mid may. its a good ride and a great little pub.
Im up for another one to Neville even if i am going there in a few weeks.

Unless her indoors has any other plans, I'd be in for that ride - fairly short hop from Canberra, even from the southside.

I'm going to Neville in mid May as well, seems to be a good place for accommodation, drinking beer, eating at the only place in town 'the pub'
its an AYE from me.

neville is good - it's just like Hay but without the night life - i'll go [and cheap too]

Depending on when it is, I'll try and make this one. It's only just up the road from here.

Im a possible also. I start a new job in a few weeks, thus I will get more weekends off. Well thats the plan. Will see if it pans out. Will make a decision when a date is worked out.

I suppose it begs the question - who's setting the date? I'm pretty much happy with any weekend in May but I'm assuming Peter sets the actual date as the proposer.

Well, no. I'm happy for some ideas as to a date. Do we want it soon or in spring, I'm happy either way but I have 2 weekends ruled out already in May.
The idea was to get people thinking about a ride and it is open for dates and destinations, I like the idea of a central point where we can all meet and organise our own groups from different directions.

I'm game although timing might be a problem for me. I am away for the most of May and lets not even get started on June......

if i am free then I will happily join in if not, for all though's who do partake have a great time and i look forward to the comments and chatter post ride...

I am in for the ride from Canberra, subject to approval from the Minister for Finance and Recreation. She just let me kayak the Murray River for a week with some mates, but I should be able to get sign off for this too.

If this is now looking like October I am definitely in. The back should be all healed and I will be back in the saddle and rearing to go.

well i think we should go up to the oxley when it gets a bit warmer - there's a couple of bods from nswriders want to go - why dont we make a date now [oct or something] so we can get some definites and go from there

i was hoping to do the oxly in two weeks...had it all planned out and realised its my best mates 21st so i had to cancel the trip. im going to do it after winter so im in that.

I'm proposing Neville on the 15-16 October, nice and central so we can get a good roll up. start planning your leave/ roster /sickie now.

I'm also happy to lend my expertise to an Oxley ride, after all I planed one before.

Bugger - we're in MLB that weekend (there's the Around the Bay in a Day pushbike ride that the missus has entered. It's also the Aust Moto GP weekend).

If enough can come 8-9th suits me too. If everyone that isn't free every weekend puts forth a date we can select the one that suits the majority.

I can always beg someone to swap shifts with me.

Bathurst 1000 is being held that weekend actual dates are 6-9 October 2011

Plenty of time to get this sorted. The dates in Oct that best suit me are: 29-30Oct (1st choice) & 22-23Oct (2nd choice). I'm out of the action 8-9Oct and 15-16Oct. Any dates in Sep & Nov are also good.
