Nice garden Gus.
I used a Canon S2is, loved that camera until I dropped it recently, bought a second hand S3is until I can decide which direction to go, camera wise. The flip-out /swivel display came in very handy for the "worm's eye view" toad stool shot, also for some of my wild flower shots. The super-macro setting focuses down to 0cm which is handy too.

I live on the coast so have a lot of sunset stuff but this one was taken at The Rock, one of my favorites.

The moon moves faster than you think doesnt it
I'm yet to work that one out using my current equipment.
A big lens that the moon fills will give enough light for a fast shutter.
Or a good size CMOS in a good camera that you can crank up the ISO without to much noise will work too
I dont have that sort of cash.
Re: Misc Nature Photo's Thread
Lunar eclipse 2007 the red colour comes from being in the Earth's shadow.
I was going to do astronomy next , anyway.
Canon S2is on tripod, manual setting, self timer to open shutter.

The moon moves "through itself", or through its diameter every two minutes. The moon itself is fairly bright, reflecting about 7% of total sunlight. Your camera's meter will see a lot of black around the moon and try to expose it so that everything looks 18% grey. If your camera has a manual mode and a narrow spot meter (1-3%), meter for the moon and then recompose (if shooting a landscape). From memory* it should be about f5.6, 125th sec, 100iso.
*my memory is really good, but its just a bit short.

Just keep trying I guess, try using a bit more of natural sky light. Try shooting just above the horizon early evening.

Haha you see I could have photo shopped that out. When do we get to see your lake shot? I'm sure I have another fence shot or two somewhere but I thought you might like a change!!
