Misc Nature Photo's Thread
First topic message reminder :
Since yesterdays off topic hijacking of re-cycled's ride thread, Gus and I have been challenging each other via PM to post our best nature photo.
I'm sure he wont mind if anyone else joins in. There's some good snappers amongst us.
No prizes. Just share your best work.
Rules;
I think we'll limit it to one pic each per day
Anything to do with nature.
No photoshopping except for basic adjustments.
If you're a professional you should declare it in the post.
Max 1000 pixels wide.
Description optional.
Here's the big G's effort today. Taken at home today.
Here's mine. Taken at Walhalla last year
Come on, join in

Re: Misc Nature Photo's Thread
Thnx Guys.
Although with this camera you can close your eyes spin around three times and activate the shutter and lo and behold a good photo is there.
Ps I like no. 2 and 3 in your last set Chris. I like em all but especially 2 and 3.
Oh and Chris, I was sitting at the comp looking at some shots and my lovely wife stops by and says, "well I know what to get you for your birthday this year". I feigned ignorance "what honey" and she said "either a macro or one of those 500mm lenses you were looking at".
God I've got it tough.

Re: Misc Nature Photo's Thread
You guys are getting some great shots for Team Nikon!
Very impressive. How do you get the birds to hold still for you! I hate birds!
We've had a little inclement weather of late.

Bunbury Big swamp bird park
We visited the bird park today in Bunbury WA with my young son Joshua. My wife Pamela snapped this with our Canon EOS500D with the stock 18-55mm lens

And as the first post states, 1000 pixels. This is clearly 1024 pixels, tsk tsk.

Re: Misc Nature Photo's Thread
Hahaha... that was reduced and there is no after shot photoshopping either. Because we don't know how and don't have photoshop.
I tried getting some afternoon shots of the honey eaters getting amongst the insects at home. But overcast conditions and a zoom lense that wasn't big enough didn't help

I should take some photos of my wifes Bonsai's. She has only just taken it up and is doing pretty well with it so far.

That would be worth a look unless "Bonsai" is code for something else

Re: Misc Nature Photo's Thread
About 200 of these feed in my back yard every morning at the moment.
Talk about a racket!
This morning several were trying to re-tune my TV coax
