It might be better for all concerned if you buy it from Harvey Norman.

I have one, they install easily. As mentioned earlier the Holeshot one just has a bracket made for it, ok if you want that.

Re: Gear indicator
I fitted a GI Pro Gear Indicator Kit with ATRE 3 days ago and have enjoyed the gear indicator side of it frequently to stop me finding 7th gear.
I also set it to map all gears like 5th gear as suggested in the manual. Low rev response also appeared better. I'm very happy with it.

Re: Gear indicator
Was reading review on the new Bandit 1250s.
The S model (windscreen only) doesn't come with a gear indicator.
My naked 2011 has one.
FA model ?

The S is a GSF while the FA is a GSX. Different dash amongst other changes.
You don't need a gear indicator. Get user to the feel of the bike and you won't even look at the tacho.

Re: Gear indicator
Don't know about the FA but it is eay to install a Healtech gear position indicator on the 1250S - it just plugs into an existing socket.

For a me it's not used all the time, but comes in to it's own when:
Can't find 7th or 8th Gear .
Riding with ear plugs in.
Riding with loud bikes. (Harley's)
The old hard braking for the dickhead cage driver to a near stop and try to ride off in 5th while thinking about killing the dickhead.
And very windy days.

Re: Gear indicator
Tks for info on FA Madmax & Vellies.
My intention was to let forum folk know that the S model doesn't have a gear indicator where the naked does & I wasn't sure about the FA.
No mention of need, worry, riding school or my car (I don't have one).
I do enjoy the experience of having a gear indicator on my naked though. It makes me feel good having one compared to not having one as was the case for my previous rides.
