WSBK FEB11
Anyone (apart from me) going down to WSBK in February?
http://www.phillipislandcircuit.com.au/superbikes/
I'm going with a few work colleagues from Fri-Sun (riding down Thu and back Mon).

Mate, the daughter (ZZR-250!) liked the shirt so much she has 'stolen' it and taken it to Tassie for the week! Be lucky if I ever see that again. As for the jacket, I'm packing light because it will be hot (you listening up there?)!!!!

Re: WSBK FEB11
Since someone on this forum is bound to be racing against Max#3 in World Super bikes.Or even better own a race team or two ,would it be
asking too much to put numbers on the bikes i can read .Black on a white background would be excellent .If money is not a problem ,
perhaps you could lash out and make them BIG . Thank you very much .

Probably coming down, have a few things to iron out up this way first. Will be flying down this time though and getting one of those packages they sell if they are still available at this late stage. It may not work out as yet but still trying.

Re: WSBK FEB11
Things are shaping up nicely (hope I haven't razzed it). Now doing a two day trip down from Canberra, overnighting in Bright Wed night then crossing the mountains to Omeo and Bairnsdale on Thu to arrive at the Island Thu night. Returning Mon by direct route via Prince's Hwy, Cann Valley Hwy and Monaro Hwy. Long range forecast suggests we'll be going through some showers Wed and then again on Monday but the picturesque Thu looks fine. Fingers crossed.

Re: WSBK FEB11
Gus,
A few options:
(a) sell something
(b) invite her along and she pays for everything
(c) get her to buy her own bike so you can do the trip together (point out that you only live once so forget the cost)
(d) something else???
Me, I've talked to the wife and we're selling the Cerato - convenient after getting the Falcon rego renewal at $906.30 - that's ACT of course so includes CTP (but still up $55 on last year). The Cerato is worth about $10k. After buying the beers for WSBK and giving the missus her share I'll be left with about $1k!
Regards,

Re: WSBK FEB11
She has her own bike, and she has done the trip 7 times . Maybe she would be happy to get rid of me or a week or longer.
Bit of a dilemma this one.
I just remembered,i payed $1000 off her credit card 6 months ago. That was good of me,points earned there.

Re: WSBK FEB11
Clock is seriously starting to count down. Weather looks as good as can be expected. With all the talk on the forum recently about better breathing, smoother running and few extra horses, I must remind myself that the trip down isn't the race! Roll on Wednesday.

Well Gus, we've got to factor in the egg and bacon roll breakfast, lunchtime countery, and late arvo stop to get the essential "supplies". Good job our trip down days are only ~520kms - might be lucky to get there before it gets dark!

Am packing the bags as we speak Gus. Will leave the Suzuki paddock jacket out based on the weather forecast and the expectation of buying a few things at the track or in Cowes.

Will be watching on Speed. Go Bryan Staring!
Will be good to see if the new 2011 Kwakka is going to live up to the hype. Pity Vermuellen won't be riding. I rate Johnnie Rae though
