WSBK February 2012
So folks, who is off to the Island for WSBK in only about 6 weeks?
I'll be there with a few non-forum mates on Sat and Sun but not Friday.
Our trip itinerary is:
- Wed: Canberra to Bright (via Tumut & Walwa)
- Thu: Bright to Traralgon (via Hotham, Omeo, Bairnsdale, Walhalla)
- Fri: Traralgon to Rhyll (via bottle shop & supermarket - delete the latter if we run out of time!)
- Sat: Track and Cowes bike shop
- Sun: Track
- Mon: Rhyll to Bright (via Reefton Spur & Mansfield)
- Tue: Bright to Canberra (via Murray Valley Hwy & Cabrumurra)
Can't wait!

Re: WSBK February 2012
I'm still planning to meet you at Swifts Creek.
Will depend on fire and weather but Thu is good for me.
May / may not do Walhalla.

Re: WSBK February 2012
A meet at Swifts Creek sounds good Chris. When it gets a bit closer I'll work out our likely ETA. Checked the pack today as this year I am carrying the throw-over panniers and a sleeping bag. Will definitely be in tour, not sport, mode.
Roll on end-Feb.

That looks cosy. All you need is a cruise control and then you could laz back on the straights. Have a great, safe time.

Yep, I thought of attending. But the wife's work commitments mean I am on child care duty that weekend.
the trade off is I get a week to go touring in March, a small consolation.

Hey Ewok, what are you're throw -over panniers (brand etc). They should go on the '06' shouldn't they?
Cheers, Steve

Mine are Motodry. I was in Canberra Motorcycle Centre the other day and Oxford appear to make an identical set (at least the same basic shape and size). The Oxford ones were about $80 from memory (maybe less).
Can't see why they'd be any problem with an '06. The panniers are held together by two velcro straps so are easily adjusted for width.

I'll print up some laminated 'business cards' and any bandits I see at Phillip island next weekend I'll pop one into the join between the seats.
