1250 Bandit back brake issues
Well one of those weeks folks, my 2011 Bandit 1250’s back brake won’t move!
Started with what I thought was a simple issue on the back brakes, and I stripped off calliper to find it was not the calliper that had locked up but something else in the system.
I’m suspecting it’s the ABS unit that’s caused the back brake to not move when stepped on.
Ok, any Advice is welcome.
I’ve heard it could the ABS unit that’s failed, or an air lock in the ABS lines.
Can anyone give me some way to fault find my way through this issue.
Secondly can anyone in Perth recommend someone to rebuild the calliper for me as I just don’t have the time.
I’m also going to drop off my front forks which has a seal gone at JMS for a rebuild

Re: 1250 Bandit back brake issues
Having been told most good shops are booked up weeks in advance I’m going to do my own front forks now.
Who has Race Tech springs and is a heavy arsed bugger like me ( 96kg)
And what springs did you put in?
Cheers

ABS , arrhh,
Pull fuse & check electrical connection for the sensor on the rear, clean while there.
With fuse pulled, system should revert to normal ?(guess)
otherwise you'd have no brakes when fuse blew
Other than that I'm out of guesses, let us know how it worked out, cheers
PS 96 kg is middle weight

I’ve taken the battery out now and still no movement on the back brake leaver.
Next I will strip off the master cylinder and check it
