1250 front brake noise
Has anyone noticed a rubbing/friction noise from the front brakes on a 1250 and if anyone has a fix?

The first obvious things would be to make sure they are clean without a dust build up or some other crap that's not meant to be in there...and the brake pad compound. Does the sound get better or worse when the brakes warm up?

I noticed it to. Seems to be there all the time.
Apparently thats just how they are. Its just the noise when the pads contact the disc.
Nothing to be worried about

Perfectly normal mate. Seems to be common with the B1250 although I've had it on other bikes as well. (assuming you're talking about the "fizzing" sound)

Yep, Fizzing, thats the word I was looking for, so seems like no need to worry.

Re: 1250 front brake noise
Yep my 1250 has the same sort of noise.Make sure your brake master cylinder is not overfull ,thus not allowing the fluid to return properly which would be like holding the brake on slightly. I work for the NRMA roadservice now,{ although I worked as a motorbike mechanic back in the eighties} and I went to a Ducati with 8000 kms on the clock, with a burnt out clutch......yep, someone has overfilled the clutch master cyl. Should have bought a Bandit eh!!! I have only just joined this forum and was dis appointed to see someone saying the new 1250s BANDIT is not a Bandit???hmmmmwell folks I have owned, ridden, and worked on many different bike over the last 30 years and my 1250s is a very capable machine....so there's no room for BANDIT RACISM on a BANDIT site.......A BANDIT IS A BANDIT...warm regards Ian

Re: 1250 front brake noise
I'm pleased to report that my 2012 GSX1250FA has those same noises as reported.
Initially I was concerned but after reading this its good to see Suzuki keeping something standard
All seems well and its comforting to know the brakes are engaging when I squeeze the lever
