24,000 km service
RE: 24,000 1st major service. GSX 1250fa
If you have the ability to change oil, oil filter, plugs, air filter, flush radiator and brake/clutch fluids all yourself, is it really worth paying big dollars for someone else to do it and to stamp your service book?
I intentionally left out valve adjustment because 99% of riders here say that it wasn't required when they checked.

Re: 24,000 km service
The beauty of the Bandit is that it is relatively easy to do most of the routine servicing items yourself. Not doing the valve clearance check is not a big deal unless you are using the higher rev range. My 2010 1250S has 102,000kms on it now and the valves clearances have been checked every 24,000kms and have not needed adjusting.
The only other thing I would add is that I'd also replace the fuel filter every 24,000km - it's not on the servicing schedule at all (weirdly) and fuel quality across Oz can vary significantly. It is also easy to do, requiring the tank and fuel pump assembly to be removed.
When doing plugs and fuel filter, be sure to put the fuel hose back on correctly - there has been a couple of people who haven't, and have had fuel running down the side of a hot engine.

Cheers for that Ewok.
