I'll start this one off... I got a Logitech G29 steering wheel with shifter and Gran Turismo. Set it up yesterday and have to say it is pretty damn cool.
Santa also bought a family present in the form of a Flashforge Inventor II 3D printer. Having loads of fun playing with it. So far we've printed out a few pokemon characters for Joshua, a Dr Who TARDIS puzzle box and a Gotek Floppy drive mount for my old 1980s Amiga. If you want to see some of the cool models visit www.thingiverse.com and do a search. The PLA corn based biodegradeable plastic is quite tough too surprisingly.

Apart from the stocking presents ,I seem to have entered the age of money & vouchers ................so I can get what I want . Plus this year I have just retired , so I was given ( among other stuff ) vouchers as well , so I see a fairly sizable spend up by me in the not too distant future

Sounds pretty good @paul so you have more time to ride now potentially? Good luck with the retirement, it took my Dad two goes at it before he decided he didn't need to go back. Especially after he found he had cancer it was a definite no to any more working.

Not a good way for your Dad to retire ......................My retirement hasn't really sunk in yet ( even if it is something we all look forward to )but it does feel a bit daunting . I intend to still do the odd day work here & there to get a few bucks spending money , & to still feel a bit worthwhile .It will also give me some more time to do stuff with Sue while we still can enjoy it ...........................and yes there will certainly be more recreational riding instead of commuting done .reddog wrote:Sounds pretty good @paul so you have more time to ride now potentially? Look after the 10 and 12mm, I start out with 2 and end up with none, and I'm the only one who uses the tools.
I recieved a new pair of Colarado sandals. The old pair were getting up close to 7-8 yrs. Pretty happy with that.
Back to the grind of work tomorrow.

We ran a secret Santa for the adults for Christmas. I picked up a set of boules. Interesting being as I now have to get them home.
Haha, I'll put them in the camper.

Call into a post office and see what it would cost to post them homemadmax wrote:We ran a secret Santa for the adults for Christmas. I picked up a set of boules. Interesting being as I now have to get them home.

Might be worth it, might not, I know you were scratching for space on the way over

Yeah I'm going to mail some unused clothes and other stuff home. The boules may be too heavy, but maybe I can make room for them

A bottle of Don Fermin Anejo tequila. I am anticipating it will be very nice.
From my daughter who is in the food and drink business. She wouldn't give me a dud.
I should test it just to see, but I really don't have to. It just needs the occasion now to go with it.
