DL1000 HAND GUARD KIT
Has anyone fitted the DL1000 2014 onwards ,handguard kit to their GSX!@%) FA?
I have holeshot bar risers on mine, does anyone know if you can lock the steering when bar risers are fitted along with the DL1000 hand guards?
Thanks
Tony

Re: DL1000 HAND GUARD KIT
I think @jimcoleman fitted hand guards. I know they were genuine Suzuki but unsure what bike. Cant answer the second part of the question (maybe I didn't answer the first part either )

I also did . They work well but you still need heated grips to be comfortable .

Come on guys H.T.F.U any body would think it's cold ..........
I had heated grips for a while on a previous bike..............they were nice , but the hand guards would have made it better by keeping the wind chill off .

Dunno mate , in a previous job with early starts with temperatures nearing zero @ 100kmph plus , the drops of water on the bottom of my mirrors were ice on the way to work....................but yes for the most part we are spoiled .Chook wrote:paul wrote:Come on guys H.T.F.U any body would think it's cold ..........

Thankfully , age has now given me the luxury of later starts at work ( so it's a lot warmer ) and the ability to be a grumpy old prick if they don't like itEwok1958 wrote:11 of our last 15 mornings have been sub-zero. Thankfully the lowest was only -3C.

That's almost cold enough to turn off your freezer to keep your food frozen...........Ironman wrote:a week ago it was -8.7 here.
( as a point of interest , has it always got that cold there at this time of year ? )

Re: DL1000 HAND GUARD KIT
BarkBuster Blizzard are the go.
Best weather protection of any guard I have seen.
Soft construction, so deform at full lock if fairing interference is an issue.
Fit and remove with one bolt. Under five minutes to install.
Used in conjunction with hot grips, I can run summer gloves all year long.

DL1000 HAND GUARD KIT
I already have Barkbuster Storm hand guards ,Oxford heated grips and 5 Heated gloves.
The DL ones look bigger ie protect more of the hand.
Just ordered them on ebay.....
We'll soon see if they work!!!!!!!!!!

Re: DL1000 HAND GUARD KIT
Fairly sure the DL guards prevent you from turning the bars far enough to engage the steering lock
