Numb Throttle Hand
As the title suggests I've been getting a numb hand after only 20- 30 mins riding. It's very annoying not to mention a little unsafe . Have not had time to go over bike properly yet. Was thinking it could be t/b out of snyc a bit. Anyone out there experienced this or have a remedy.
Cheers Boatz.

Re: Numb Throttle Hand
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which causes the surrounding nerve sheaths to constrict the nerves at times ....................I have a throttle lock which allows me to get some movement to my throttle hand which helps .
( If your bike checks out ok )

I find my jacket tends to cut circulation off at the shoulders a little if it bunches up, causing numbness/tingling/hands falling asleep. Also got some relief by rolling the bar back just a shade so I wasn't leaning forward quite so much

Thanks for the responses. But there is definitely a vibration thru the bars. I don't think I hang on too tight MM. Will take a look when I get a chance.

I think someone on here found a loose vibration dampener under the tank, that may be worth a look. Have you changed your bar ends?

Re: Numb Throttle Hand
Boatz, I have been suffering from numb hands while riding for years. The left hand is easy to overcome by just taking it off the bar & clenching it a few times to get the circulation going again. The right hand is a different story of course. You may have seen that I use one of those throttle rockers, & that helps to a point. It does come to a point of having to pull the clutch so I can clench my right hand to get circulation happening again on long rides.
My new ride has helped a lot in this case, as I can set cruise control

I also clench my hands a few times to help but I've found wriggling my fingers is just as good, it's best with arms raised a bit but you can get away with leaving the area where your thumb meets the wrist on the throttle and giving the right fingers a wriggleKiwisteve wrote:Boatz, I have been suffering from numb hands while riding for years. Re: Numb Throttle Hand
Find the cause. You said there is a vibration. First check front wheel balance. Wheel bearings. Steering head bearings. And front tyre wear. Any scalloping on the edges ? Best of luck.
