Re: 2016 Aldi bike gear
I have been riding with their jacket for about 12 months and can't fault the quality in the wet or the dry. Decent body armour built in and no sign of wear so far.

Check what time the store opens Chook. You may need to line up an hour or two before opening time to have any chance of getting anything!

Nice one, Chook.
I do work at Aldi frequently and have been hassling, trying to find out when bike gear was coming.
May grab another helmet. Awesome value.

I've been trying to find out for weeks as well, they would tell me anything, a member of the Adelaide Street Bikes facebook page posted photos of the catalogue

Take a tip from an Aldi regular customer
Preferably take someone with you to assist, use a trolley and collect each item in several sizes and move to a quiet part of the store to try them on. Return unwanted items to the tables (or as some bogans do, just leave the trolley and walk away).
I found the boots in particular were weird sizes and my size 10 foot would need an Aldi size 12.
The other strategy I have witnessed is for shoppers to purchase in multiple sizes and return the same day for refunds of the incorrect sizes.

Hi Dave,
Appreciate the tip re boot sizes - I'm also a 10 so will look for the 12s first now. What do you think of the boot quality?

I didn't buy any boots but I believe the quality is as good as other brands.
Make sure you put $230 aside in October for the gas fired pizza oven.
Mine is nearly 3 years old and performing wonderfully. The oven in the kitchen hasn't been used since the Aldi purchase.
I regularly cook baked meals, casseroles, pies, quiches, souffles and all manner of sweeties.
Once again bear in mind that Aldi typically have 10-20 per store so expect a Saturday morning stampede.

Give 'em some feedback...my daughter is active in animal welfare and says that Aldi is very responsive and open to customer input; hey the numbers probably don't make commercial sense but there are also men who need smaller sizes.

Re: 2016 Aldi bike gear
If their sizing is similar to DriRider's, there will be plenty of men who need larger sizes as well.Dekenai wrote:

Aldi stop at 3XL, generally I'm a 2 or 3XL, my old DriRider jacket was a 4XL, my new one is actually smaller than that but is a 6XL
Re: 2016 Aldi bike gear
My Aldi jacket is a M. Everything else I wear is a L and my Dririder Nordic jacket is 2XL
Re: 2016 Aldi bike gear
I got there about 45 min before opening, there were 4 in front of me, all after the gardening specials, 10 minutes later there must have been at least 70-80, and well over 100 by the time the doors opened, one arrogant late comer walked straight to the front of the line, when a couple of oldies had a go (he would have been early 50s himself) he stated "there are going to be a lot of disappointed polite people today" As the door opened he belly dropped and slid under, I managed to catch him, not sure how but he tripped over my foot on his way down the aisle There was a huge applause from about 10 or 15 oldies as he was after the lawnmower the same as they were
I managed to pick up a helmet for my son, neck warmers for Kaylah and myself, base layer, balaclava, and 2 pairs of socks for myself all for under $130, if I had someone with me I would have tried a pair of boots on.

Good footwork Chook - you must have been a dancer. Sounds like there will be nothing left by the time I knock off work today.
