Bike missing after hard acceleration
My 2010 bandit misses after hard acceleration. When backing off then reapplying the throttle, it misses, coughs and splutters. By turning the bike off then restarting it it disappears. I got it dyno tuned and it didnt happen whilst on there but did again a few days later. Has anyone had this problem, and if so how did you fix it.

You mention you have done a few mods in your other thread ..................I would start checking out those first as a matter of elimination . Was the bike running ok before the mods ?

Re: Bike missing after hard acceleration
Sounds like the fuel system is having trouble keeping up with a rapid increase in fuel demand.
Check out the filters, i.e. the tea bag on the fuel pump inlet and the strainer built into the fuel pressure regulator housing (check Gus’s sticky).
Had a similar issue myself that was resolved by installing a new fuel pressure regulator valve…but you buy it as a $160 assembly, so would suggest looking at the filters first…come to think of it the tea bags are about $40 a pop anyway.
