Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
First topic message reminder :
Who's planning on doing the WSBK's in February, and who is interested in getting a house on the island?
There are plenty of options but we'd need to know who wants to join in to get a idea of what size place we'd need?
Going
Hammy + Mate
Ewok & Bev
madmax
Chook
reddog and Mrs reddog
Barry & Axle

As a sailor , I suspect Hammy would make a good publican#Tag wrote:Any chance you can get the keys to the yacht instead?
Let him ride to Tassie then you can pick us all up on your way through sailing to the The Island.
( lucky bugger about the bike though )

Anyone thinking of buying a new set of Pirellis soon. Cause if you do they will give you a 3 day pass to the 2016 Supers at PI. A friend of mine up here is looking at getting a set of Angels for one of his Birds and he has offered me the tickets if I want them.

Is everyone planning on going to the track every day ? Fri, sat, sun. What about taking in some of the local sites. And I'm not meaning the penguins.

It's pretty easy to be selective about which events to watch and do the sightseeing in between. We didn't bother with much track stuff on the Fri but did watch qualifying and some racing on Sat (a few years back).

As a Victorian I'm more likely to go to the track each day.
I might be swayed to do other things though

Not sure about the track every day. But coming from WA we'd probably enjoy some site seeing too.
BTW we ordered tickets but no email or other correspondence yet.

I've seen a fair bit of Victoria but I've never been to PI
If there is something happening at the track that I really want to see I'd skip the sight seeing though. It depends what time we all get there on the Thursday but that arvo could be a good opportunity for a look around as well.
Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
The beauty of the Supers is being able to ride into and around the track so you can come and go as you please.
Vs Motogp where getting parking, getting through the gates and to a viewing area takes the best part of an hour.

So we can pick and choose what we do at any time of the day

Happy for a pillion. On Sunday Bev can take you and Mrs RD to the track in the car - no helmets and you can have a few drinks!

I'm sure there will be enough helmets . I have a med Arai and you are welcome to go for a tour on the mighty BlackBird anytime.

Re: Phillip Island WSBKs (2016 National Meet)
Today I have emailed the property manager for the surf beach property "Island Daze" for a revised invoice. So I am considering the house full at 9 adults.
I will let you all know via PM as so as I know the final details
Final payment is due on the 25th Jan

Enjoy it Ewok, I know you love a red, I had too many (silly) bad experiences with Red when I was younger and my body/memory wont let me forget.
I'll stick to my Super Dry, I know how much I can take without getting too messy
(sometimes I tend to forget how much that is though )

Best drunk out of a smelly Alpinestar boot. Preferably a '56. Accompanied by a green goat cheese from the Dillylicker Valley. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
