very comfortable on long rides, relieves the achy knees, bit fiddly to install but worth the effort and the $150.00, folds up out of the way when you dont need them

Thats very cool. Ive got some mounted to my crashbars. Bit further back than yours. I get a lot of leg pain so being able to change position helps tons. I can even rest my ankles on them and go cruiser style. Have fond they are self clearencing on fast turns as they get ground away....

A guy in the US makes a cool one for the 1250, http://shop.metrickmetal.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=80

Hi Folks. Newby here. Just a question for anyone who's fitted pegs like these:

Just wondering how you went with clamp sizing?
My 2005 1200S has 34mm downtubes. So at 1.33" dont seem like they'd fit the 1.25 or 1.5" magnum clamps.
Were your downtubes that size and if so how did you go?
Cheers
Brendan

1250 has 37mm downtubes but I think I used the 40mm clamps which just tighten enough, you could always get some thin wall ally tube and cut it in half to use as spacers inside the clamps

Thanks for the link Talon. I hadn't seen that set. Just trying to put together the bits I'd need... The cases come out 9cm past the tubes on one side, and 11cm past on the other side. So I need a kit that will give me some extension for a total length of 19-20cm...
Though I might get the 32mm clamps and grind them out a mm each side... 35mm clamps don't look common.
Seeking seeking...

In the end I decided to get some crash bars, then I can add simple pegs to the crash bars, and I'll have engine case protection plus a choice of positions for the pegs :-)

For the 1250FA's
A bit more money, but if you get this kit you just add a cheap set of passenger foot pegs to it.

$170 and you don't get pegs with them! affraid Bugger that I'll make my own.

Plus postage is closer to $200, so I was thinking to make my own too, but the "U" shaped parts would be my problem.
This kit is made with the exact spacers etc required. Making my own would take a few hours to get the right fit, so these are much easier.
The foot pegs are only $16.50 delivered from ebay.
