Bandit meet 6-8 March 2015 Parkes NSW

First topic message reminder :

Ok, here's my thoughts on a Bandit meet up for 2015.

As per the topic title, Parkes is the meeting place. The time is March 6-8 2015. The Coachman Hotel/Motel is where we have booked in to stay.
I'm thinking of a 180 odd km ride on the Saturday that encompasses Manildra, Cudal, Eugowra, Forbes & back to Parkes.
JTB has also suggested a ride out to Temora as there is a aviation show on at the Temora airfield. (I hope I got that right)   

Anyone interested in this?

Parkes has a motel right in the middle of town with parking outside the units and a pub attached on the main street of Parkes. Its a huge motel with more than ample number of rooms. Its called the Coachman Hotel Motel.

We should be able to obtain a group discount.

Sounds good Baz.  All we need to do now is get a rough number of goers.

It looks good and having a look through the RAA accommodation guide (2 years old) it also seems to also be one of the cheaper options in Parkes.

Listing states:
36 units 2 person $70-140 + $11 per extra (2012 prices)
All units look onto landscaped pool area & are set apart from Hotel area
Well shielded from traffic noise

6 - 8 Mar ok with me.

I might be able to catch a lift back to the North Island with those paddle boarders that showed up here the other week.  Abbott says we'll send those boats back.....

I'll find out on sun if I can get leave from work, I think it'll be all good! Yes I work on many weekends (continuous shift roster) but yet I'm still broke all the time.   I should have enough time to save up some drinking silvers for a weekend escape by then, hopefully (the wife and 2 teenage kids aren't cheap to feed and water you know)  (and about as predictable as the weather)

Baz I just rang and booked mine. They only have Hammy booked in, if you made the booking online the guy hasn't had time to go through the email system yet and asks that you phone them to confirm the booking.

I've just booked a twin room for my daughter and I, only 11 months to go.................................

Their computer  system is cactus so I booked in by phone and he did rattle off 4 surnames of people booked in that weekend but seeing as I don't know your surnames it went in one ear and out the other.

No when he said there was one person already booked in I asked if it was you.

No when he said there was one person already booked in I asked if it was you.

That's ok.  I suppose they don't get too many people booking in a year in advance.  Gives us plenty of time to save.
