Murray Bridge is 46 tomorrow and 47 Thurs, I just happen to be there for work this month. Oh joy! Riding the postie bike in that heat, then the 30min ride home each day.

I don't envy you that one ................. & I thought the hot workshop with a fan blowing hot air at you was bad enough .

Jiminy crickets, ours looks a bit on the antarctic side compared to that - I might have to add anti-freeze to the pool!

Keep hydrated and look after your pets. We lost 2 chooks on the weekend in WA with 2 days over 40. I recommend coopers pale ale its no weather to be riding in, but if you have to employ a camel bak

And now Denis Napthine is talking about shutting power off to some households because we're using too much power.
I wouldn't be complaining except for the ridiculously high tariffs Australians pay for power, which is not even remotely sufficient.

I bet they taste good. Does it affect the eggs?
Re: Adelaide turns it on
Today we got some relief, it didn't make the estimated 46, falling short at a pleasant 44 deg, the change that was due by lunch tomorrow has decided to take it's time and wait 'till tomorrow night so the forecast has been upgraded to 42.paul wrote:So , monday forecast.......40 deg , ended up 42

I was just out on the back veranda and had commented to Mrs Chook that I thought it didn't feel so bad this evening, then I looked at the thermometer and it was still 40 @ 7:45, funny how you start to get used to it (sort of).
This morning I did my morning exercise, riding my pushy down Marion Rd at 5:15 and it was already over 30, tonight's forecast min is 31
Re: Adelaide turns it on
I think if they tell us it will be 46 & it's only 44 we somehow think it's a lot cooler ( even feel ripped off deep down LOL ), but if they tell us it will be 44 & it gets to 46 , it seems a lot hotter .Truth be told , it's bloody hot either way .Must be psychological ................crikey that was a big word to come up with after a few too many beers .

I work on a road crew in the summer months doing reseals. Today at 1pm the road temp was 65o
water doesn't always cut it, When trying to keep hydrated. You need to replace electrolytes and the likes or you start getting cramp and all the other fun stuff from dehydration.
The sun burnt country = F&%$ing HOT

65 deg. Gees that's bloody hot mate .................................Just heard on the news , Adelaide has just won the dubious honor of the hottest city in the world ( not sure how that is worked out , but I know we are in the driest state in the driest continent, & how they figure that one out .LOL ) Kinda makes it sound like an appealing place to hang out ,doesn't it
