up on Gumtree for $1200 with new front tire and new chain and sprockets . I kind of wonder why I seem to be the only one looking . Suzuki 1993 gsxr1100w

And I only look in Tasmania . Has to be better than $1200 in the bank . Cost to get it in this condition ,running , and left hand can . 4 cans of beer .

If you have ever tried to turn 4 into 1 headers into 4 into 2  you will know its a nightmare .  vtr1000 mufflers fitted .

Am currently making a movable platform, with front and rear clamps & tie downs, jacking points, 150mm off the ground with 4 swivel wheels with brakes. Fingers crossed, prototype under way.

There was a 1981 Honda XL250 on our local Buy, Swap and Sell this morning for $350. Gone already.

This is the interesting bit on the gsxr1100 . I was about the 30th caller who wanted it . He said he would add my name to the list . The bike belonged to his mate who died so he wanted it to go to a good home . The bike was advertised for $1200 neg . I told him I wasn't willing to get into a bidding war . I figured that would be the end of that bike .
Next day I rang again to confirm the bike was gone . To my surprise he said "its yours , come and get it when it suits ."
Four hours later on pick up I asked how come I was the lucky one ?
He said 
"You were the only one who offered the full amount and didn't want to haggle . You didn't really care that the bike didn't start . You didn't want me to detail it . Didn't care about the 96,000kls and understood the sentimental value to me . I don't have time for tire kickers ."
I have learnt before that when you know the asking price is good don't make an offer ,pay the asking price if you REALLY want it . The people before you have already pissed him off with offers of $800 ( it happened ) .

Good on you . That's all part of getting a bike.
If it was in a sad state, my not have been worth 1200, but it's a winner and you were honest. Enjoy. The 82 yo guy I got my Bandit off was really shattered to have to sell it, but was glad a fellow Suzuki tragic was interested. He got crap offers as well, one asked where the kick start was and was told by one young guy "that there's one in Sydney, ( 6 hrs away) with half the kms for only 400 more", 82 replied " looks like that's the one for you then" and walked back inside . . 82 had a good look at my Red G and then told me $???? and it's yours.
