The gear makes no difference.
I understand the question now
You're asking RPM more than speed though.

Re: 1250 speed in gears CORRECTED with speedo healer
yeah your right, I meant RPM , but derived from a given KM/H

Here's the mathmatically calculated speeds per gear from Gearing Commander ,one of the best sites on the internet for working with gear/chain senarios:

Yep - 18-43 is the standard - with this Gearing Commander site you can plug in different cogs front and/or rear and it will tell you the differences, even how many links you might need to add/remove from your chain. One of the best time absorber sites on the net, you can spend hours on it.
Here is the 1200 printout:

If you are setting up a Speedohealer, -7% will give you 99km/hr at an indicated 100 with stock gearing and tyre profiles. The GSFs are all consistently overreading by 7km/hr at 100. I have access to a calibrated GPS used for speed testing and the result was about as accurate as you can get.mtbeerwah wrote:who has a corrected speedo on their 1250, and can tell me in..

Re: 1250 speed in gears CORRECTED with speedo healer
Hi all,
Just a bit of back ground...
I own a 1200 with a healer, and corrected speedo for about 1 1/2 years now.
I`m not buying a 1250, am happy with my 1200, and have spent far to much over the years to ever sell it, and am currently building it to a new state.
I`m just doing some personal investigation work on the 1250.
Thanks all for input, John.

My speedo healer is set at -4.5% so I can't answer the original question. It was set at -7% but I got so used to the 2.5% speedo error in the XR6 I set the Bandit to the same error so I had the same safety margin (that might seem a bit weird but it works for me!).

I`m actually comparing the two bikes with their given Gearing, RPM, HP and Torque differences to identify each ones usability strengths, and weaknesses.
I do wish I had a 6th though, and in my latest rebuild, if I had spent X amount more, could have converted it to a 6 speed.
Got to close the wallet though.
