Renthal Ultra Low Bars - black
Hi all, I've just fitted a Renthal Ultra Low bar to my GSX1250FA as I found the standard bars a touch high, sitting too upright for long highway running. Also the chrome is a little dated. The change in riding position isn't that great, but noticeable putting me a touch further forward and lower. There is no impact on full lock turns with the bar just clearing the fairing. Got caught out with the bar ends, the new bar has a thicker wall thickness and as such the standard bar ends are to big.

That's a good question - black or gold bars? I do like the look of them. Hmmm.

They look good. Go Black Ewok, If you buy another bike you can transfer them over and they'll look fine. Gold is for posers
BTW Car_ham why not take off the bar clamps and paint them flat black too? The silver doesn't quite match now you have gone flat black bars

I have Gus' silver ultra lows fitted and love them. Super comfy. I have mine turned down a bit more than yours car-ham. They just clear the tank when the bars are on full lock.

They do look great, nice work. I have the same set and i found that cornering has improved ten fold.

Great stuff, thanks, I like Hammy's Loxin (DynaBolt) fix. I'll give it a crack on Wednesday when I am back home.

These are the ones I want?

Also, I'm not that convinced on the ultra-lows. Will 'normal' Lows fit ok?

Re: Renthal Ultra Low Bars - black
Well after using both Medium and Ultra Low renthals I have gone back to the OEM bars.
Why?
I keep getting a numb left hand and lower arm when using the Ultra Lows. No matter where I sit or which way I have the bars turned.
On the Putty Ride my left arm was going numb. So much so that I had no feeling in my left hand at one stage. Made pulling in the clutch fun I can tell ya.
I had to go to Sydney for work yesterday so rode down. A round trip of 165kms. This would be a good test to see if the OEM bars help get rid of the numbness. They sure do. I have them turned down so they just clear the tank on full lock. I don't know if its the weight of the steel but the vibration was no where near as bad as with the renthals. Thus the mirrors are clearer too. I had no numbness at all.
