New Renthal Bars
Hi all!
While backing up the bike a few months ago I dropped it and broke the clutch lever. I saw this as a perfect time to buy some new black levers and bought myself some shorties.
I thought while I was replacing the lever I might as well replace the bars and also bought some Renthal ultra lows...
Now my first issue is that I seem to have to have the leavers as far as the cables will allow down the bars to get them in a good position. Is this common for other people that have installed short levers?
Secondly, when I move the bars to full left lock the fairing pushes against the lever and I'm sure you can all imagine what then happens to me at this point.
Would love some input from anyone that has done either or both of these changes.
P.S. I'll post some pictures tomorrow

y'know if you have a look at GP bikes and Superbikes you won't see any shorties... made sense on dirt bikes before the advent of barkbusters, just saying is all.

Yes I know, I simply just like the look of them and find the front brake more comfortable. Clutch not as much but you get used to it.

Fair enough...the simple solution is to buy a couple of stick on tyre weights and stick one on the steering stop. This will reduce your lock (obviously) but will prevent the inadvertent front brake application.

Thanks mate, I had a look around and can see the little lug I have to raise. I had just assumed I wouldn't be able to get to what was stopping it.
Problem solved.
