Dunlop Roadsmarts vs Pilot 3
My roadsmarts were great but the edges have worn much quicker than the harder centres. Any thoughts about a potential switch to the Michelins?
Any advice or comments would be appreciated especially regarding grip levels in the dry and wet while cornering. I've heard from a few guys that the Pilots are great for straight line specials but not so good on the tilt. I don't care much about wear if the tyres don't grip.
Thanking you all in advance.

I got 10k rear and 14k front out of my pilots, some guys on here are getting 20k from a rear but i dunno how they do it must be gentle riders i found the grip very universal across the tyre, much better than the continental road attack 2 i have on now i reckon ill get about 8k before it dies, and i have a pure to go on. I have found that the michellins are very pressure sensitive wrong pressure and youll halve your wear, but you have find what suits your bike . Mine i found best over all was 42 in the rear and 36 in the front

Thanks Jim. I'll stick to Dunlops then. I'll probably get 10K out of the rear also.

Probably worth reading this thread on the PR3's.

That UK Bike mag test still sticks in my mind - thay were sports bike racers that were doing the testing (using a Bandit as the bike) and their comments on grip in the wet are insightful.
Mine have now done close to 13,000kms and 2WA remarked yesterday (without knowing how many k's they'd done that the rear almost looked new). But I'm not a hard cornerer (is that a word?). I'll be repacing them with another set when the time comes.

Thanks Ewok. Food for thought. I'll check prices and decide.
