Michelin Pilot Road 2 Front & Michelin Pilot Road 3 Rear
I have a Michelin Pilot Road 2 front and rear combination.
As my rear is worn far more than the front I'm about to replace it. Is it a bad idea to throw the new Michelin Pilot Road 3 on to mix it with the Michelin Pilot Road 2 front? I don't think it is a problem but wondered what others thought.

I'd do it.
Just make sure you can't get the last of the PR2's at a great price.
But mixing them should be ok.

I had to do that, pr2 front and a pr3 rear. I had no problems with that combination.

I am running a Metzeler Z4 on the back and a Z8 on the front. Feels great. So should not be a problem with your 's

If someone fitted the combo that you are talking of, without you knowing. I bet you would not have a clue that they were from a different series. Unless your name is Casey Stoner ?
